Blog Posting
I’ve just spent the last couple of days entirely revamping my blog. It was originally going to be a journal that I kept while traveling. As any of you who kept in touch with me while I was on my around-the-world trip already know, I sort of feel down on the job during my travels. As I got more into traveling, and Internet access got harder to find, I pretty much feel back on just announcing where I was and were I was going. Not all that interesting.
Well it has been three years since I returned from my travels and I decided that I needed to do something with all of the pictures and stories that I accumulated while traveling. So, the result is a new and improved website that has been transformed from a “journal” to a “history” of my trip. I am planning on loading most of my pictures and writing about my experiences (those that I remember anyway) before I completely forget all of the details. I will date my posts as close to the times of the original events in order to keep things chronological.
I have loaded my pictures for Maine, Portugal, Spain, and France. I have also gone back and cleaned up some of the original postings so they make a little more sense. I will try and put a notice in the “Journal” part of the site when I complete a new section (period of time) from the trip. I hope you enjoy the pictures and information. It has been great fun putting this stuff together and I hope you will enjoy it.
Regards,
Ron
It took me an extra day to get everything working in Internet Explorer. Nothing unusual there, nothing ever works right with IE on the first try. I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would choose to use such an awful piece of software. Although I have done everything I can to make this site work with IE there may still be issues. I would strongly urge everyone to upgrade to Firefox and avoid all of the headaches associated with Internet Explorer.
I did a little more work this morning and added pictures for Belgium (Brugge and Brussels) and The Netherlands (Rotterdam and Amsterdam). I still need to link the photos with the postings for these cities and I will get that done soon. Next stop… Germany.
