Done with France as I leave Paris for Belgium. Bruges is a small town on the coast to the west of Brussels. I've heard from many people that it is a better place to stay than Brussels.
My visit to Bruges (or Brugge depending on where you look) was one of those unplanned stops that turned out to be one of the highlights of my travels to date. I originally planned on staying in Brussels Belgium as an intermediate stop between Paris and Amsterdam but I couldn't find a place to stay. So on the advise of other folks in the Paris hostel I book into a hostel in Bruges Belgium instead.
