HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

I know it has been forever since I posted anything and I sincerely apologize. So much has been happening in the last few months that I just haven't been motivated to waste my time sitting inside working on the computer. I am going to do my best to get back on track now that we are starting a new year.

Since I last wrote, I've traveled through Turkey, Egypt, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. It has been an amazing few months. I parted ways with Bill in Ho Chi Min City (HCMC) two days ago. He is going to continue traveling in southeast Asia for another six or so weeks. It was great traveling with Bill and Sandy. Having people to share your experiences with definitely makes the trip more enjoyable.

I arrived back in Bangkok on 29 December and have enjoyed visiting a different part of the city for the last few days. the weather here has been prefect for strolling in the parks and visiting the city. Its been in the low 80s and mostly sunny while I have been here. I spent New Year's Eve at one of the local pubs and met some great people. They had music, showes, and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. I also wanted to write to make sure that nobody was worried about the reported bombings here in Bangkok. They were nowhere near where I am staying and the media has made much more of them than was probably necessary. Everyone has just been a little more cautious and nothing terribly serious has happened. I guess its just the times we live in.

I haven't decided on my next stops yet. I am considering delaying my flight to Sydney for a few more days. The friends I made last night are going to Pattaya so I was considering tagging along with them for a few days. I'll keep you posted.
